Healthy Cookie Dough Balls

Get ready to enjoy cookie dough way more often! Not only is this safe to eat (and it’s vegan too!) it’s protein-packed and only uses whole ingredients. And the best part is you can probably whip these up right now, that’s how simple the recipe is. You can see these delicious bites in all their glory alongside my bowl of morning oatmeal. We all need an excuse to have cookie dough for breakfast.

Yields: About a bowlful of cookie dough (Do we really need a limit on how much cookie dough we make?)

Time: 5 mins


  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1/3 – 1/4 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips (can use dairy-free for vegan)


  • Throw all ingrediants into a powerful blender or food processor
  • If you have a less powerful blender, simply blend the chickpeas as best you can, then put them into a bowl and mash them with a potato masher or a fork, add the rest of the ingredients and combine
